PERMISSIONS

Read only until the moment you say otherwise

Most apps ask for permission to change your store on the day you install them, before they have shown you anything at all. Mention Network does it the other way round.

Install gives it no write access
The check, the audit and the plan only ever read. For the first three steps the app cannot change a thing, because it was never given the ability to.

Permission is asked for at the fix, not at install
The first time you press apply, Shopify asks whether Mention Network may write to your products. That is the moment you decide, with the change already in front of you.

You can take it back
Revoke write access whenever you want and the rest of the app keeps working exactly as before.

The schema embed is a switch you flip in your own theme editor. It is a setup step you control, not a permission you hand over.

ON PURPOSE

One fix at a time, never a bulk rewrite

There is no fix everything button, and that is deliberate. Bulk edits across a catalog are how stores end up with copy nobody approved and titles that read like a spreadsheet. Is Deploy Fixes available today?+

Not yet. The AI Visibility Check and the Website Audit are the steps you can run today, and Deploy Fixes is the last of the four we are building. Install Mention Network now and your audit will be ready the day it opens.

Will it change my store without asking?+

No. Every fix opens as a before and after first. Nothing is written until you approve that specific change, and anything that has been applied can be undone.

What permissions does it need?+

None when you install it. The check, the audit and the plan only read your store. Permission to write to your products is requested at the moment you apply your first fix, and you can revoke it later without losing the rest of the app.

Does it edit my theme files?+

No. Content fixes go into your Shopify product through the official Admin API. Structured data is served by a Mention Network app embed that you switch on once in your theme editor, so your theme files are never rewritten.

Can it fix everything the audit found?+

No, and it tells you which is which. Anything that lives on your product page can be applied for you. Anything outside your store, like reviews and press coverage, stays your job, and the plan spells out what to do.

Can I undo a fix?+
